Superwash Merino anyone?

The third skein of yarn I bought at The Loop turned out to be my first pair of mitts for my niece.   However, as a trial run, they were too small, so they are now my tree ornament.

The pattern for my mitten is from this site.   I skipped the embellishments.

I’m now using some single ply yarn I picked up at the local yarn shop that was ’scraps’.  Its a brilliant pink – perfect for little girl mittens!

Combination scarf…

I had purchased 3 skeins to produce a scarf that would work well with my sari-silk hat.  I actually dropped down to two skeins, a cotton with a fine merino.  Its a slow work on progress as its on US 7s and a diagonal rib pattern… but I’ll get it done someday.   This is the scarf so far.
